This process uses a double-sided heating element that is positioned between two movable tools holding the parts to be welded. A precise clamping system ensures workpiece stability and allows for easy tool changeover for different product types. The heating element is designed as a sandwich structure, with the core consisting of heating cartridges or another heating method. A shaped heating plate is attached to the core; this plate is the negative of the part’s welded surface and ensures uniform heat transfer. Thanks to a Teflon-coated or other non-stick surface, material adhesion is minimized, ensuring a clean weld without residual waste. An advantage of the hot element welding method is lower requirements for the precision of the product’s welded surfaces.
